The main differences between the Icon 20 and Icon 40:
- The Icon 40 has many adjustment/setting options such as seat depth adjustment from 40-50 cm and multiple settings for placement of the rear wheel both in height and depth. The Icon 20 has no seat depth adjustment (standard is 45 cm) and only two depth settings for the rear wheel.
- The Icon 40 has the possibility to adjust the angle of the front wheel axle at the front wheels. The Icon 20 has a fixed front wheel axle.
- The Icon 40 has a Velcro tensionable backrest for comfort adjustment. The Icon 20 has a fixed backrest.
- The Icon 40 has leg rests that are adjustable in height with a clip - and the foot plate is adjustable in angle. The Icon 20 has leg rests that are adjustable in height with a bolt (not adjustable) - and a fixed foot plate.
- The Icon 40 has anti-tip wheels – the Icon 20 does not (but they are available as an accessory).
- The Icon 40 weighs about 2.5 kg more than the 20
