BraceID® is a brand of the Belgian Orthobroker and includes a range of high-quality orthopedic bandages, orthoses and bracing .
Features and benefits:
- BraceID ® Ankle Orthosis is equipped with both inflatable and pre-formed foam padding (avoiding pressure points) so that the patient can choose what best suits the conditions of recovery: see either "AIR padding" or "FOAM padding".
- AIR padding: comes with a straw to "inflate" the brace. Is ideal at the beginning of recovery because the orthosis is adjustable according to the swelling of the ankle.
- FOAM padding: best used after 2 or 3 weeks when the swelling has stabilized.
- The air cushions are covered with textile (flannel) on the skin side, which greatly improves wearing comfort
- Both paddings (pads) can easily be replaced by attaching them to Velcro strips on the inside of the shells. The air cushions are more suitable for use in the acute stage, while the foam pads, with a higher density and lower profile, provide more stability in the functional phase of rehabilitation
- We usually recommend ordering the KIT: So you first start with the AIR padding and switch to the FOAM padding after 2-3 weeks.
