Motion sensor with speech
Sense and Sound.
Sense and Sound with PIR sensor. Download your own speech, music or sound effects. The PIR motion sensors have a unique download function for MP3 files. You can then easily transfer your MP3 sound files directly to the Sense and Sound's internal memory. This is done via the USB connection. Your MP3 file will play automatically after the PIR sensor is activated. Easy to use, plus step-by-step instructions are included.
APPLICATIONS for the Sense and Sound with PIR sensor :
- Create an audible warning for a restricted area (e.g. “use the side entrance)
- Audible reminders to help people with dementia or memory problems (e.g. “don't forget to close the door”)
- Audible security alarms (e.g. “watch out for the step”)
- Make a special greeting for the doorway (so that someone is welcomed, for example)
- Attract attention and make an impression by adding a speech, music or sound effects (for example for presentations)
Characteristics :
- Upload MP3 sound files with speech, music or other sound effect
- Update and change your posts as often as you like
- Automatic audio playback after the PIR sensor is triggered
- High-quality MP3 sound reproduction
- Unit stores multiple MP3 files to enable loop playback
- Two playback settings: both single track and multi-track
- In multi-song mode, one song is played after each activation (in file name order)
- Also two volume settings: Low and High
- Also includes an optional wall mounting bracket
- Audio Playback Format: MP3 format only
- Sensor activation distance: up to 4 meters with a 120 degree angle
- Volume level: 90 dB maximum (depending on the original recording)
Technical data;
- Size: 90 x 60 x 25mm
- Internal memory: 4 MB
- Micro USB connector to support a 5-volt DC power adapter
- Recording time: about 4 minutes, (calculated using 128 Kbps MONO bit rate)
- Battery life: 24 hours, i.e. 1,440 minutes, (86,400 seconds)
Number of views: Based on the battery life calculations above, a 10-second message will be played 8,640 times. - Two power options: 3 x AAA batteries (not included) or mains adapter
What is PIR?
PIR stands for Passive Infrared. A PIR sensor is an electronic sensor that measures infrared light emitted by objects in its field of view. All objects with a temperature above zero emit heat energy in the form of radiation. Usually this radiation is invisible to the human eye because it radiates at infrared wavelengths. But it can be detected by PIR sensors. PIR sensors do not detect or measure heat, but instead detect the infrared radiation emitted by an object. A PIR based motion detector is used to detect movement of people, animals or other objects. They are more commonly used in burglar alarms and automatically activated lighting systems.
What is the difference between normal motion sensors and PIR sensors?
PIR sensors do not detect movement, but detect abrupt temperature changes at a specific point using the infrared radiation level. If an object, such as a human, passes in front of the background, such as a wall, the temperature at that point will rise from room temperature to body temperature and then back again. So this quick change triggers the detection.
Playback calculations based on 4 MB of memory
A playback time of 8 minutes can be achieved with an MP3 file with a bit rate of 64 Kbps.
A playback time of 4 minutes can be achieved with an MP3 file with a bit rate of 128 Kbps.
A playback time of 2 minutes can be achieved with an MP3 file with a bit rate value of 256 Kbps.
