Heel pressure ulcer spreader cushion

The prevalence of heel pressure ulcers after hip surgery can be avoided.

Until now, a triangle or spread cushion was placed between the legs. The feet are very vulnerable to bedsores and clubfoot formation.

Medifeet® 48 functions as an abduction cushion during the first 48 hours after hip surgery.

• The legs are spread and cannot cross,
• the feet cannot tilt outwards,
• clubfoot formation is prevented,
• heels float, prevents bedsores,
• electric bed can be adjusted,
• no pressure from the bedding.
• The upper part can be removed. During the day, the patient lies on the bottom part with support of the legs, the heels are free. At night, the upper part can be put back so that the doctor, nurse and patient are reassured that no wrong movement can be made that causes dislocation.
