Sterile disposable wing system used in combination with a blood collection tube holder or a syringe to perform venipuncture for the purpose of collecting one or more samples of human venous blood for in vitro diagnostics. Can also be used in combination with an intravenous infusion line for short-term intravenous administration of fluids for up to 2 hours. The device has a safety feature that retracts the needle when activated by the user to reduce the risk of accidental needle stick injuries.
