Left and right scissors?
All too often, scissors are sold that claim to be for left-handers, but where only the eyes are shaped for a left hand. It is necessary that the cutting edges cross in an opposite way, otherwise the natural pinching action causes the blades to be pushed away from each other instead of against each other.
