B-Ortho thermoplastic NS white
White low temperature orthosis material , suitable for larger splints.
Technical info:
- maximum stretchability
- maximum deformability
- maximum memory
- maximum stiffness
- contains a thin Non-Stick layer, which has a very good bond when used dry after removal
- smooth surface, good cleaning afterwards
- colour White
- application: all body parts, but especially tibia, knee, ankle, lumbar segment...
- heating: in a warm water tank at 65 to 70°C for ± 120 sec. Per plate.
We offer a range of low-temperature thermoplastics and associated accessories. The thermoplastics have easy and reliable handling and deformability.
The heating takes place in a warm water bath at 60 to 65°C for 60 to 90 seconds.
When the material is removed from the bath, the surface temperature drops quite quickly to 40°C, allowing the correct shape to be measured directly on the skin.
After a few minutes the material starts to harden.
When heated dry, a very good connection is possible.
The material is RX permeable.
Perforations:
- None: smooth plate with maximum support, perfect for cleaning
- Micro: ±13%, many small holes, for more strength: choose a thicker plate
- Mini: scattered holes 3.5% perforation, the sheet remains approximately the same strength
- Opti: ±20%, multiple holes, optimal ventilation
Thicknesses:
- 1.6 mm: small splints such as for fingers, the hand and for children
- 2.0 mm: small splints that require a little more strength
- 2.5 mm: often used for static and dynamic splints for the hand and wrist
- 3.2 mm: suitable for larger splints
