Heat/cold packing with pearly gel filling PearlPack
PearlPacks are reusable therapeutic heat/cold packs with non-toxic and odorless pearls. They are ideal for use in eg. common aches and pains, swelling and bruising. The small pearls hold cold or heat for up to 20 minutes, which is a recommended treatment time.
Pearl Packs remain very flexible when frozen or heated, making them easy to mold to the place to be treated.
Very suitable for the treatment of the following symptoms:
• sprains
• migraine
• muscle aches
• menstrual cramps
• pre and post workout
Pearl therapy is a non-medical method designed by doctors to relieve pain and inflammation. Pearl Therapy Packs use innovative Pearl™ technology that absorbs and releases heat and cold for up to 20 minutes (recommended by physicians) during this highly effective therapy. Their dual action provides a dual therapeutic benefit in one package: start with ice to reduce the bruising and swelling, then move on to heating for deeper pain relief.
What are the benefits of ICE therapy?
Ice therapy (also called cryotherapy) is one of the most common recommendations from doctors for the prevention and healing of wounds. Applying ice right after an injury or physical trauma (the sooner the better) compresses the bloodstream and slows swelling and bleeding. Ice therapy reduces muscle pain and spasms. Applying ice to the injured area reduces the metabolism of the cells, reducing the risk of death from injury and preventing long-term damage.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COLD: You want to remain exposed to cold for the first 24 hours after an injury, in the presence of swelling and/or bleeding. Even if you have not been properly injured, it is recommended to use ice after any physical activity to reduce the effects of wear and tear on the body.
What are the benefits ofHEATtherapy?
Heat therapy increases circulation, effectively relaxes muscles and facilitates movement. Stimulating blood flow to the affected areas once the swelling has subsided contributes to the healing and rapid repair of damaged tissue.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HEAT: "Heat should be applied at least 24 hours after the injury, after the swelling/bleeding has stabilized. Because heat stimulates circulation, it actually worsens swelling or bleeding if applied too quickly. It is recommended to apply heat fit before physical activity, to stimulate blood circulation and warm up muscles. Doing this can help you avoid injury during exercise.”
