Heel decubitus, a pressure sore on the heel, is a frequently occurring painful problem when bedridden.
Also pes equinus, clubfoot formation should be avoided. In a lying position the feet are in line with the legs and not in the position as you stand upright.
- Med foam, visco foam + PU cover
This causes the calf muscles and sometimes also the Achilles tendon to shorten.
- Heels float, prevents bedsores,
- clubfoot occurs in patients with a "balanced" neuromuscular status between extensors and flexors,
- natural extended position, knees not raised,
- air circulation around the feet, no masking of the skin,
- blanket arch, no pressure from the bedding,
- 24/24 for patient in supine and side position due to modular design,
- electric bed can be adjusted, semi-fowler position,
- cost effective, wound care is expensive,
- easy to use,
- time saving for care staff.
- Medifeet® use aims to achieve these benefits.
