Monoslide

The sliding sheet or “Mono-slide” is a simple and effective transfer aid for carrying out patient movements in bed without straining the caregiver's back. The sliding sheet is made of a special fabric with a non-slip side and a smooth side. The slip sheet can be used in two ways:
1. With the smooth side up and the stiff side on the mattress.
2. With the rough side up and the smooth side on the bottom sheet.

Lifting rules:

• Avoid any kind of lifting. (In many cases, rolling, tilting or turning may suffice).
• Ensure proper preparation. (Bed on the brake, safety gate down, sufficient working space, adjusted height work ...)
• Give the patient clear explanations in advance. (This prevents anxiety, immune stress and the active input of the patient is increased).
