Push Ortho ankle-foot orthosis AFO

The Push AFO provides excellent support if the foot lift is disturbed during walking. The innovative design ensures a natural walking pattern and makes safe and efficient walking possible again. The Push AFO is an ankle foot orthosis that, in a unique combination of functions, lifts the foot during the swing phase, slows down plantar flexion after heel landing and then leaves the foot free to roll over. The orthosis also provides lateral stability to the ankle joint. INDICATIONS

• Reduced control of the foot lifters during the swing phase and the loading response (heel strike / foot flat), possibly in combination with ankle instability.
• Conditions in which failure of the foot lifts may occur include: CVA, hernia, multiple sclerosis, post-polio syndrome, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Loss or lack of control of the calf musculature, moderate to severe spasticity, extreme pointed foot, foot deformities.
