Large secure medication carousel to prevent incorrect medication intake
A medicine carousel with extra protection against taking the wrong medicine, too much medicine, or taking the medicine at the wrong time.
Using a key, the caregiver opens the carousel and fills it with pills. When one of the maximum 6 daily alarms goes off, the medicine carousel starts to make a sound and the edge starts to flash green. The correct medicine compartment will open automatically immediately. Only after the medicines have been taken and the carousel has been turned over, the alarm stops.
The carousel will only open the boxes at the set time.
Only 1 box opens per alarm moment. This makes it more difficult to take too much or the wrong medication. Because the medication carousel can be locked, there is always extra control for any forgotten medication. Then you can see if there are still forgotten medications in a box.
Forgotten medicines remain in the carousel. This medicine carousel promotes independence and prevents taking too many medicines.
